Is there hope for democrats - I see a light!

Turns out this bit about having a Republican Royal Flush makes it near impossible for any democratic activity to hit the public's radar. But with some effort, I found a couple of things that make it clear there are democrats out there who are really trying.

Representative Heny A. Waxman has built and made available a searchable database of lies and misleading statements by Bush, Cheny, Rice, Powell and Rumsfield. It doesn't include any quotes that were later found to be wrong. This is a database of statements that were clearly misleading or outright lies at the time they were made. Finally, someone has put it all together in one place. It's called Iraq on the Record. See also Move On.orgs Mislead archives.

Rep. Waxman also makes podcasts available summarizing work of the Government Reform Democrats. Who knew such a group existed?

MoveOn.org is always trying hard. Some of their campaigns have been a bit over the top (not sure which is worse...under or over the top). Anyway, this latest ad looks kinda clever and catchy: Caught Red-Handed

And look at how clever the Democratic Party is! Check out the Unsweet Sixteen Brackets. Who are you betting on?

Maybe there is hope afterall.
